Inclusion

Our Commitment to Inclusion

We champion inclusivity in all our endeavors. We believe that diverse voices, perspectives, and lived experiences make our work stronger and our impact greater. Here are our principles:

Valuing Every Individual and Community

We recognize the inherent worth and dignity of all people, celebrating the unique contributions of diverse communities. We are committed to actively supporting and empowering historically marginalized groups through our work and partnerships.

Driving Equitable Outcomes

We dedicate our efforts to advancing justice, knowledge, and tangible results for diverse communities. We prioritize initiatives that confront systemic barriers and ensure access to opportunities and resources, embedding inclusion in every project we pursue.

Action

Recruiting and Supporting a Culturally Competent Team

We have a global team that reflects the diverse communities we serve. All team members adhere to the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS), and receive training and support to do so.

60% of our team members speak Spanish, including 75% of our leadership, ensuring language accessibility and cultural understanding.

We prioritize hiring individuals with lived experiences that align with our mission, bringing unique insights and perspectives to our work.

Promoting Accessibility

We engage a cultural advisor with lived experience of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to guide our initiatives.

Our digital content and communications adhere to WCAG accessibility guidelines, ensuring usability for individuals with disabilities.

We provide bilingual resources and support, expanding access to non-English-speaking communities.

Our Work

Our commitment to inclusion is reflected in the programs we help design, implement, and promote. We actively support initiatives that increase representation and access in healthcare, workforce development, and community engagement, including:

Marketing strategy to enhance employment equity for Latinos with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Oregon.

Marketing campaign and technical assistance program to enhance nursing capacity in the I/DD sector throughout Oregon.

Community outreach, marketing and website development to increase awareness of Telehealth services for underserved populations in seven rural Colorado counties.

Digital and social media campaign to expand visibility and utilization of the Oregon Employment Department’s Work Share Program among diverse employers across the state.
